Fire Safety Awareness Training
At Safety Assessment Solutions our Fire Safety Awareness Training course is designed to provide all employees with sufficient knowledge and understanding of the importance of fire safety measures, how to reduce fire risks, deal with fires when they occur and the actions to take upon discovering a fire or hearing the fire alarm.
Fire Safety Awareness Training is for all employees and meets the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRFSO). The course has been developed by qualified and experienced fire safety professionals and is approved by the Fire Protection Association. The result is high quality training that gives delegates the necessary knowledge and skills, through an informal short duration course.
The half-day course will equip employees with the necessary knowledge to reduce the risk of fires occurring in the workplace and to act correctly if a fire occurs. Article 21 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires that the responsible person (employer, occupier or owner) must ensure that employees are provided with suitable and sufficient instruction and training on the appropriate precautions and actions to be taken by the employee in order to safeguard themselves and other relevant persons:
- When they are first employed.
- On being exposed to new or increased risks.
- On the introduction of new equipment.
- On the introduction of new technology.
- On the introduction of new systems of work.
- take reasonable care of him/herself and others who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work .
- co-operate with employers to enable duties of the RRFSO to be performed or complied with.
- inform the employer or other employee responsible for safety, of hazards in the workplace and any shortcomings of the employers safety protection arrangements.

Successful delegates will be issued with a personalised certificate that will satisfy the requirements of Article 21 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 with regard to employee fire safety training. The certificate will remain valid for 3 years.
